What We Are
Friends of Redwood Acres is a non-profit community organization formed in 1993 to provide educational and entertainment opportunities to the residents of Humboldt County and surrounding communities and support capital improvements to Redwood Acres.
Why We Do It
State of California has eliminated all funding for fairs so it falls to the Friends of Redwood Acres to help provide supporting revenue for operations, facilities, and infrastructure. We host events and conduct fundraising for
  • The Beautification and long-term development of Redwood Acres, its grounds and activities
  • Youth related educational programs and exhibits
  • Other programs, services, and events deemed by the Board of Directors as compatible with the mission of Redwood
